The Market Library is a conceptual investigation into the pragmatic function and need for a central city library to re-invigorate the purpose of libraries in the age of the internet. The concept also attempts to address Melbourne's CBD burgeoning issue of overpopulation.

How do the increase of information & population density manifest themselves in a building? Can a building ever be a singularity to embody these issues? Does the building eventually reduce to an artefact of its own palimpsest?
